Description

Midnight is a 1 year old ewe with a dark charcoal and white fleece.  She has a 1.25 inch thick band of gray near the tips that then turns dark for the rest of the 2.5 inches.  Her fiber was tested and there is no weakness at this line. It is just an inherited trait of her lamb coat to have a color change line.  This will not repeat next year.  See picture for example.

Her parentage is Inspire and Black Diamond (of Steitzhof Merinos).

Our sheep are coated 364 days of the year and skirted carefully and patiently for minimal amount of vegetable matter in the fleece.
